Music production is the art and science of creating beats and mixing recording and mastering while managing every aspect of a music project. At Music Inn we teach all our students to produce music and video in the most professional way to enable them to guide artistes effectively such that they are able to help them produce marketable music that is rich in content.

Music Inn boasts a highly equipped music production studio in Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya and highly acclaimed music production teachers with 5+ years of experience in the trade. The school is also situated in a conducive area that enables students to interact with one another as they complete their music projects. They also have chances to interact with music students who are learning other instruments in order to see where music production fits in the musical ecosystem.

Our music production classes in Westlands Nairobi Kenya are taught using various music production software. Learning how to use software is an important part of the Music Inn Music Production Course and will be key in helping you perfect the art in this  course.

Our students benefit from enrolling into the modules (taught in-house) learning with the powerful music production software such as; Ableton Live, Avid Pro Tools, Apple Logic Pro X, Fl Studio, Propellerhead Reason, Acid Pro, Steinberg Cubase, Garageband, Cockos Reaper and PreSonus Studio and on our Master Course. With these softwares, turn your love of music and audio into a career you love at our school. You will be learning music production, composition, scoring, MIDI, recording, mixing and mastering, as well as sound effects and final mix from industry professionals teaching at MIS. Using our professional level equipment and software, including a leading edge audio interface and high end audio monitors, students are able to create orchestral and electronic music scores for films and other visual media.

Introduction to FL Studio

This section covers the FL Studio desktop and basic workflow. FL Studio allows you to load instruments and samples, play these live or manually enter the note data, record external sounds (from a microphone for example) and play the whole mix back through the mixer (adding effects).

Intro to Music Production (Logic)

Recently updated to include the exciting new features of Logic 10.5, Intro to Music Production gives students a thorough grounding in essential music production skills in Logic Pro. If you are serious about becoming a professional producer or sound engineer, then it is crucial to master these skills before you can progress further. It is perfect for beginners, but even if you have been making music for some time you will benefit from learning professional techniques from an experienced producer with major artist credits. Music-Inn is an Approved Training Centre for Education, and you will have the opportunity to take the A-Level Standard Certified Pro exam at the end of the module.

MUSIC COMPOSITION 

It’s relatively easy to get a bunch of loops happening but not everyone can mould them into a finished, dynamic tune. Music Composition will help you achieve this. It shifts the focus from the technical to the musical elements within your track. Even if you don’t make music with lyrics you still need to understand how tracks are structured in order to elevate your music above that of your competitors. If you want to sell your songs and/or make a living from your music, it is crucial to have an understanding of music theory, composition and arrangement techniques.
